I'm a homeschooling mother of five. Four graduates and one to go. I have been married to my dear husband for 31 years this October. WoW! I love talking about home schooling, essential oils, growing your own garden and other things related to health. I'm a city girl living in the country. I love both lives.

Day 116 – A Rainy Day-July 22, 2006

Okay, I got Elder Pierce back from our exchange with the Reston Elders. We had a pretty good day today. It was pouring rain this afternoon, so we took our umbrellas out with us. (“Pretty smart, huh?” “I thought it wouldn’t work.” – SpongeBob, Patrick)
We didn’t meet with D today, so a temple trip with him might not happen. We’ll see. D* wasn’t there but A’s mom, J, was. We talked with her for a little bit.
A definite highlight of today was receiving an update from J about her son, A. As it turns out, A will be getting out of jail a lot sooner that we first thought. Tuesday. He’ll be back on Tuesday. He still has a court date in September, but that means we’ll be able to teach him again when he gets back. We’ll continue to work with A; heck, after spending time in jail, the rules and commandments of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints might not seem as restrictive by comparison.
So, yeah, look for A on Tuesday; I know I will. I found out that D is out of town for the weekend, so a trip to the Visitor’s Center with him tomorrow is not happening. We still have S’s temple trip to look forward to in a week. Well, tomorrow is Church!
* “…see. D..” CD! Get it? That’s a joke, son!”
