Day 125-The Beginning of Happy Things- July 31, 2006
Today I was on exchanges with Elder Phelps. We went tracting this afternoon. That was fun. It’s fun because I know it is missionary work. I know it’s missionary work because it’s exhausting.
Tracting is growing on me. It’s fun walking from door to door. I was just thinking how it’s been a while since I had time to just sit and record my thoughts. Most of my journal is filled with things that happen during the day. When you tract, though, not a whole lot happens, so you have a lot of time to think in between doors. It’s still good missionary work. You can’t go wrong with tracting.
I think that this might be my last transfer in Herndon. I’m in Reston right now, but Herndon’s been good to me. A lot has happened to me in this…wow! I’ve been in Virginia for almost 4 months! Where’d all of that time go? I need to stay on task.
Speaking of that…Today in district meetings, Elder Oram told us to write something that makes us happy each day in our journals, so that that is what I’m going to do.
Happy Thing for Day 125-Tracting when I was out of water and someone offered me an ice cold bottle of water to drink. They weren’t interested in hearing the message, but I thanked them and we were able to part friends. Good feeling.
I’m going to make this “Happy Thing” a daily thing (unless I get bored with it). Well, that tracting sure takes it out of you. I’m tired. I’m going to bed.
